At Native Sun Energy, we believe energy independence isn't just a goal — it's a movement. I’m Preston Porter, Founder and CEO, a Native American, Army veteran, and lifelong builder who found my true purpose in renewable energy. After years of leading in construction and project management, and serving on combat deployments, I realized I wanted my work to reflect my own values: sustainability, sovereignty, and service to others.

In 2024, that purpose led me to launch Native Sun Energy. What began as a curiosity has since evolved into a mission to deliver innovative, regenerative energy solutions that empower communities — especially tribal nations and veterans — to reclaim their futures. Through our work in solar development, microgrids, green hydrogen research, and food-energy security projects, we are designing systems that don’t just generate power — they generate opportunity, resilience, and hope.

Our approach blends hands-on expertise with a relentless commitment to innovation. We partner with schools, nonprofits, tribal governments, and private enterprises to create financing models and energy systems that lower costs, foster independence, and build local economies. And we are passionate about building careers for veterans navigating the challenges of transition, helping them rediscover purpose and connection through work that matters.
