He specializes in solving complex engineering challenges in renewable energy and advanced manufacturing, with a focus on floating solar, water-cooled data center microgrids, and autonomous infrastructure. Preston is listed as co-inventor on multiple patent applications, including a proprietary behind-the-meter (BTM) water-cooled solar energy system integrated with graphene supercapacitors and AWG (Atmospheric Water Generation) technology. These designs are optimized for data centers, mining reclamation sites, and utility-scale applications, and are structured for modular replacement or removal, Leaving behind a fully functional water asset.
